Music mogul, Don Jazzy, has urged musicians to engage with their fans on social media due to the increasing power of the digital world.
Don Jazzy gave the advice in reaction to a Chris Brown post asking fans to help his album debut on number one on the US Billboards.
“Dear artists. Times have changed o. This Chris brown’s post is enough to let you know that water don pass garri. Engage with your fans. This is not the time to form Jugunu for algorithm ooo. Twitter and Instagram Algo no send person,” he wrote.
Don Jazzy is one of the celebrities who engage regularly with fans on social media, often swapping banter with fans or gifting them cash.
Last week, herevealed that he blocks people who speak negatively about former business partner, D’banj, on social media.
Jazzy had co-founded the now defunct record label Mo’ Hits Records in 2004 with D’Banj.
Following the closure of Mo’ Hits Records, Jazzy set up Mavin Records in May 2012.
