Several guests paid condolence visits on Friday to Pastor Shyngle Wigwe and wife Stella, parents of the late group chief executive officer of Access Holdings Plc Herbert Wigwe.
Among the guests were Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara; Governor of Akwa Ibom, Umo Eno; and Governor Alex Otti of Abia State.
Others were the former governor of Cross River State, Donald Duke; his wife, Onari; former managing director/chief executive officer of Oceanic Bank, Cecilia Ibru; and chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Lagos State chapter, Reverend Stephen Adegbite.
Minister of aviation and aerospace development Festus Keyamo and the managing director/chief executive of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, Olubunmi Kuku, also visited the bereaved couple.
On the condolence register on Friday, Fubara wrote, “What a great loss. The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh. May their soul (sic) rest in peace. Amen.”

Eno wrote, “To my brother, Herbert, you came and impacted your world and left it better than you met it. May the seeds you sowed bear much fruit. Your memory will live forever. May God grant everyone, particularly your aged parents the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss. Rest in peace my brother.”
In his condolence message, Keyamo wrote, “My brother, you left my office in Abuja before you embarked on this fatal trip. You promised to return but alas you left us. The dreams we spoke about will never die. Adieu.”
Wigwe, his wife Doreen, his son Chizi, and a former group chairman of the Nigerian Stock Exchange, Abimola Ogunbanjo, died in a helicopter crash in California, United States on February 9.
