An excited Davido on Monday shared a video of Canadian rapper, Drake, and Nigerian-American rapper, Wale, dancing to his song, ‘Fia’, at a DJ set in Los Angeles on Sunday night.
The 25-year-old singer, who shut down Eko Hotel and Suites with his 30 Billion Concert on December 27, uploaded the video to Instagram.
Beginning with the likes of Alicia Keys listening to Wizkid’s ‘Ojuelegba’, a number of foreign stars have been seen on social media listening to Nigerian songs in recent years.
The same Wizkid, with whom Davido sustained a bitter rivalry on social media until they both performed at each other’s shows in December, has collaborated in the past with Drake.
There were also suggestions that Drake was considering collaboration with Nigeria’s Tekno after pictures of both of them appeared on social media last month.
Davido had said in an interview with Goldmyne TV that he wouldn’t mind working with the Canadian, but “Drake no be God”.
That dismissive tone is different from the excitement in his Instagram post on Monday.
