Olamide mixes drugs and dance in Science Student video

Olamide

After much vilification, YBNL Boss, Olamide, has appeased critics by using the video of his hit song, ‘Science Student’, to preach against drug abuse.

The 28-year-old has been the subject of heavy criticism from anti-drugs campaigners for seemingly glorifying the use of narcotics in his music.

He was forced to assure fans in a message on social media a couple weeks ago that his video would address the controversy.

And address the controversy he has done with ‘Science Student’ video.

The 7:35 minutes visual released early on Sunday night begins with Olamide and friends running out of fuel while driving on a deserted road at night.

A search for fuel leads the singer to a laboratory where all manner of substances are mixed and some young people lying in a wasted state.

As if taking a cue from Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ video, the ‘dead’ rose and began a choreographed Shaku Shaku dance routine.

Popular choreographer, Kaffy Shafau, took care of costumes and creative direction in ‘Science Student’ video.

Olalekan Buhari, better known as Unlimited LA, shot the video which ends with the message “say no to drugs”.
