Argentina earned their revenge against the D’Tigers of Nigeria in a second test game played in Las Vegas, United States of America (USA) on Thursday.
The African champions edged their South American counterparts in a high scoring encounter on Monday by 96-92.
But it was the Argentines who had the last laugh at Thomas and Mack Centre beating William Voigts tutored side by a huge 101-79 margin.
Nicolas Laprovittola underlined his importance to the team, stepping out of the shadow cast by his more famous teammates by pouring in 24 points for the winners.
He hurt Nigeria with 3-point shooting and overall play.
The victory is the third time Sergio Hernandez side has won against the Nigerians – following their feat at the Stankovic Cup in China early July.
However both teams will still battle it out at this summer’s Rio Olympics on August 7 in a group that also features Croatia, Spain, Lithuania and hosts, Brazil.
The Nigerians finalise their preparations by facing the American Dream Team on August 1 in Houston.
