Gospel singer Nathaniel Bassey has received an outpouring of praise from his colleagues Dunsin Oyekan and Mercy Chinwo as he clocks a new year.
Bassey took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a message of gratitude, posting a picture of himself to commemorate the occasion.
In his post, he expressed deep thanks to God, writing, “Dearest Father, thank you for yet another year. Another birthday anniversary. Each comes to remind me of your faithfulness. For the gift of life, grace, goodness, and mercy. Family, friends, and loved ones, THANK YOU JESUS.”
Following his announcement, Dunsin Oyekan and Mercy Chinwo joined the chorus of birthday wishes, each taking to their Instagram pages to honour their colleague.
Dunsin Oyekan praised Nathaniel Bassey, recognising his contribution to the gospel music community.
“Celebrating an incredible gift to the body of Christ globally. I have been personally blessed by your ministry.
“Dear @nathanielblow, today thanksgiving is rising to heaven because of you. Blessed is the womb that carried you. And the best is yet to come! Happy birthday, Sir!” he wrote.
Mercy Chinwo echoed these sentiments, celebrating Bassey’s dedication to worship and his unwavering love for God.
“Happy birthday to you, Sir, Pastor @nathanielblow. Your heart of worship is such an inspiration, and your love for God and His kingdom is worth emulating.
“I pray this new year brings fresh oil and great strength for the journey ahead. Your light shines brighter, Sir. We love, honor, and celebrate you today and always,” she wrote.
Other prominent figures in the Christian community, including Pastor Bolaji Idowu, Pastor Iren and Moses Bliss, also joined in celebrating the artiste.
