The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) insists ADO Den Haag youngster, Tyronne Ebuehi, will still get a shot with the Super Eagles despite snubbing the clash against Algeria.
Ebuehi, 20, turned down the chance to make his debut for Nigeria in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier at home to the Desert Foxes citing preference for his club career.
The young defender was heavily tipped to fill the big void in Coach Gernot Rohr’s right fullback position but sensationally passed on the opportunity.
However, NFF’S Technical Committee Chairman, Chris Green, believes the lad will get another chance in the future with the three-time African champions.
“He is one of the young lads we are looking out for to beef up the team in an area of need. We believe he could strengthen the defence,” Green revealed.
“He (Ebuehi) has not turned his back on the country.
“He has only said he can’t come for the match against Algeria and we appreciate why he can’t come. He is still in our plans.”
The Eagles will go ahead without Ebuehi to battle Algeria in Uyo on November 12.
