Celebrities like Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Obi Asika, Femi Odugbemi and Ade Adefeko have expressed their grief over the death of Martin Mabutho, the chief customer officer of MultiChoice.
Qed.ng had reported that Mr Mabutho died on Tuesday morning in Cape Town, South Africa after a brief illness. He was aged 47.
Record executive Obi Asika penned down a tribute in an Instagram post on Wednesday, describing Mabutho as a brother and friend.
“Truly speechless to be saying Rip to my man Martin Mabutho one of the realest people I ever knew, a true brother and who I long adopted as my Naija brother from Botswana, too many memories over the years make this so hard to take and understand, love and prayers to all your family and friends, your lovely wife and kids, the multichoice family you repped forever and your boys all over the continent,” he wrote.
TV host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, share photos of Mabutho, saying that he is still confused over the news.
“Terribly confusing day makes no sense,” he wrote.
Filmmaker Femi Odugbemi and Ade Adefeko also penned down tributes to mourn Mabutho.
In 2018, Mabutho was appointed chief customer officer, responsible for driving the MultiChoice Nigeria customer group strategy covering customer value management, sales, marketing, customer experience and care.
He is survived by aged parents, his wife Thato and their four children.
