Media personality, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, has been confirmed as host of the fifth season of the Big Brother Naija reality TV show which starts July 19.
The 37-year-old who is himself an alumni of the show, shared the news on Twitter on Monday.
“Excited to be confirmed once again as the host of a brand new season of @BBNaija premiering on July 19!!! Can’t wait to be a part of yet another magical journey…,” he tweeted.
Ebuka was one of the fourteen housemates in the first season of Big Brother Nigeria and finished in 8th place.
In 2017 he was named host of the second season of the show, which was rebranded as Big Brother Naija and has hosted the show ever since.
According to the organisers of the show, potential housemates for the new season of the show are currently in quarantine, after which they will undergo a coronavirus test before being being allowed into the house.
Other precautions such as socially-distanced shifts for crews, the banning of the live audiences and surprise celebrity visits, will also be put in place due to the coronavirus pandemic.
