Veteran filmmaker, Eddie Ugbomah, who died on May 11 will be buried on July 12 at the Vaults and Garden, Ikoyi, Lagos, the burial planning committee has announced.
Chairman of the committee, Rahman Raji, in a statement on Friday said the final programme had been approved by the family.
Mr Raji said Tribute in Honour of the late film producer will hold on July 10 at The National Art Theatre, Iganmu, Lagos.
He said that there would also be the launch of a post-humous biography of Ugbomah titled ‘Eddie by Eddie’ on the same day.
“The service of songs and industry night will also hold on July 11 at the same venue.
“The lying-in-state, the burial service and entertainment of guests will hold on July 12 at the National Theatre,” Raji said.
The interment would hold at the Vaults and Gardens, Ikoyi after the burial service on the same day.
In 1988, Ugbomah was appointed the chairman of the Nigerian Film Corporation. He died at the age of 78.
A holder of the national honour of Order of the Niger (OON), Ugbomah’s works include Rise and Fall of Oyenusi, Oil Doom, The Boy is Good, Death of the Black President and Apalara.
