EeZeeTee denies Mercy Chinwo’s allegations of career threats, false paternity claims

Gospel record label executive Ezekiel Onyedikachi, popularly known as EeZeeTee, has responded to allegations made by singer Mercy Chinwo, who accused him of spreading false rumours about her child’s paternity.

In a viral video shared on Tuesday, Mercy Chinwo claimed that EeZeeTee attempted to ruin her career and keep her under servitude during her time with his label, EeZee Conceptz.

She also alleged that he orchestrated defamatory claims about her son.

Reacting on Instagram on Wednesday, EeZeeTee said, “It’s heartbreaking that you can go to this extent to tarnish the credibility or image of someone.

“You had promised that you would destroy my reputation and the organization. Well done. When you’re done achieving it, I hope you get a crown in heaven.”

He explained that their real dispute was about reconciling financial accounts, something he had repeatedly tried to resolve through respected clergymen.

He also denied claims that he resisted an audit of his business dealings with Mercy, saying, “I have never been opposed to a financial audit. Never.

“All I have just said is, let’s have a neutral, unbiased entity—professionals who understand the music industry.”

Addressing the bullying allegations, EeZeeTee argued that Mercy was not someone who could easily be bullied.

“Anyone who knows this person will know that you cannot bully a bully. You can find out from her roots and those who work closely with her,” he said.

On the paternity controversy, he said, “It beats my imagination that as sensitive as a paternity saga is, that’s what you want to use to put false allegations on my head.

“I hope you have enough evidence to prove that allegation because it is totally disappointing.”

Concluding his response, he suggested that the controversy was an attack on the Christian faith.

“Keep acting, keep crying. People pray with these songs, so they can’t believe that someone who sings worship to God can lie.

“But the truth is constant. No matter how far lies run, it takes just one truth to catch up with them,” he said.

He added, “This is an attack on the body of Christ. Only a stupid person would, by their own hands, destroy what God has helped them to be.”
