Socialite Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for alleged tax fraud and money laundering.
He was reportedly arrested at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on Wednesday a day after watching Nigeria versus Ghana World Cup qualifier at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.
His last Instagram post was a video clip of him watching the match live at the stadium.
EFCC operatives are said to be on the hunt for his accomplices, with only his wife and family members allowed access to him in custody.
Cubana Chief Priest’s arrest comes four months after his associate Obinna Iyiegbu, better known as Obi Cubana, was detained by the EFCC over similar allegations of tax fraud and money laundering.
