The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Monday arrested former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Bala Mohammed.
Details of his arrest were sketchy as at press time, but his detention is believed to be connected with alleged multiple criminal breaches while in office.
Vanguard reports that his detention followed series of petitions filed against him by individuals and group since 2013.
Mohammed arrived the EFCC headquarters in Abuja around 10:30am and was still undergoing interrogation by 8:30pm.
He will spend the night with the anti-graft commission.
