Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Abdulrasheed Bawa has been pictured at the home ground of Arsenal FC in north London.
Lauretta Onochie, a social media aide to President Muhammadu Buhari, on Monday posted to Twitter a photo of Mr Bawa at the Emirates Stadium.
It was not immediately clear if the picture was taken on Saturday when Arsenal took on Manchester United in the Premier League clash which ended 3-1 in favour of the Gunners.
“Abdulrasheed Bawa, @officialEFCC Chairman at the Emirates stadium. No wonder he is very dedicated,” Mrs Onochie said.
President Buhari appointed Bawa, 41, in February 2021. Bawa replaced the disgraced Ibrahim Magu.
Bawa is a trained EFCC investigator with experience in the investigation and prosecution of advance fee fraud cases, official corruption, bank fraud, money laundering, and other economic crimes.
The EFCC boss holds a B.Sc degree in economics, and masters in international affairs and diplomacy.
He was one of the pioneer EFCC cadet officers in 2005 and is the youngest person ever to serve as chairman of the nation’s anti-corruption agency.
