Three suspected internet fraudsters popularly known as yahoo boys have been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The trio was arrested at No. 24, 1st Avenue, Fort Royal Estate, Airport Road, Abuja.
The suspects, Marvin Nwankwo, Prince Ojenike and Jude Olatekobowale, allegedly created Facebook accounts with the following names: Rodney David, David Rodgers
Acting EFCC spokesman Tony Orilade explained in a statement in Abuja on Tuesday that their arrest was based on intelligence report that the suspects had turned the said residence into their office, using laptops, phones
The intelligence further revealed that the suspects, aged between 22 and 30 years, used the proceeds of their crime to acquire different cars, including a Mercedes Benz GLK SUV and a Toyota Corolla, among others.
