Actress and filmmaker Ego Boyo on Tuesday celebrated her 54th birthday and 30th wedding anniversary with her husband Omamofe Boyo.
The former president of the International Women Society (IWS), an independent, non-political, non-governmental and non-profit organisation founded in 1957, celebrated the double milestones with lovely photos shared on Instagram.
Ego Boyo expressed gratitude to God for his goodness upon her and her family through the years.
She wrote: “As I consider the year that I’ve had, all I can see is how much of God’s goodness has been over me and my family through all the years.
“From seeing so many productions I’ve worked on come to life to all the joyful moments: my first son getting married and celebrating 30 years with my husband. All I can do is count my blessings.
“As I celebrate my birthday today, I would like to say a big thank you to everyone. To those who have supported and uplifted me; to friends and family; to those who have prayed for me and others who have loved me, even from a distance. Thank you. May your own years be filled with endless joy and blessings.”
Ego Boyo has been winning hearts since she starred as Anne Haastrup in the 90s soap opera Checkmate alongside Richard Mofe-Damijo, Francis Agu and others.
Married to oil industry heavyweight Mofe, the nature-loving actress is blessed with three kids.
Ego’s son Eyisan got married to Keji Belgore in Ilorin, Kwara State on Saturday, July 2.
The event was attended by celebrities and dignitaries such as the first lady of Kwara State, Folake Abdulrasaq, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s wife, Dolapo, former Kwara first lady Toyin Saraki; movie stars, Richard Mofe Damijo, Joke Silva, Rita Dominic and Kate Henshaw.
The Enugu-born actress has starred in movies such as 30 Days, Akanchawa and Violated.
