Actress turned filmmaker Ego Boyo has shared an emotional moment from veteran actor Olu Jacobs’ 80th birthday party.
The star-studded event was held at the Glover Memorial Hall in Lagos on Sunday, July 10.
A video shared by Ego Boyo on Instagram on Monday showed Olu Jacobs cutting his birthday cake while his guests cheered him on as they sang a birthday song for him.
Captioning the video, the Checkmate actress wrote: “An emotional beautiful moment yesterday.”
Others who also attended Olu Jacobs’ party include, Hilda Dokubo, Ali Baba, Taiwo Ajayi Lycett, Victor Osuagwu, Toyin Abraham, Ireti Doyle, Ini Edo, Kunle Afolayan, Mo Abudu, Chioma Ude and his wife Joke Silva.
At the party, Patience Ozkwo also expressed how much she misses the veteran actor on set.
“I’m missing him on set, he can play an Igbo king, he can play a Yoruba king, in fact, I don’t think anybody can replace him,” she said.
