The management of Eko Atlantic City has denied the claim by musician, Davido, that he was denied use of the location for his end of the year show in December.
In a media release posted on Twitter, the managers of the prime real estate investment, South EnergyX Nigeria, described the singer’s allegation as false.
They said that they received Davido’s request to use the Eko Atlantic City on November 8 and responded with a request for further information.
The information, according to them, never came.
“Some of the additional information requested was pertaining to security provisions as Eko Atlantic City is not an event centre and rather a city with existing residents and businesses,” South EnergyX Nigeria said in their media release.
They also revealed that Davido and some up and coming artistes had been granted permission to shoot a video in Eko Atlantic City earlier in the year.
Davido had earlier alleged that he was denied use of Eko Atlantic City for political reasons.
In a message posted on Twitter earlier on Wednesday, the ‘Assurance’ singer made allusions his support for his uncle, Ademola Adeleke, who contested the 2018 Osun State governorship election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
