Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has advised his wife, Hadiza, against blocking Twitter trolls.
Mrs El-Rufai had asked a question on Twitter late Tuesday if she should block some of her followers or not.
Her husband replied, “Don’t honour them by blocking……mute them so they keep screaming and you don’t hear a sound!”
The state’s first lady had had to defend herself recently after she came under attack on social media for maintaining silence over alleged killings in Southern Kaduna.
Hadiza told her detractors that although she was married to the governor, she was not part of the government.
It was later discovered that the reported killings were the fallout of communal clash which happened weeks before the public got wind of it. El-Rufai was said to have mediated between the warring factions.
