Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has visited several villages in Igabi and Giwa Local Government Areas of the state where bandits killed about 50 persons on Sunday.
The governor paid some of the villages a visit on Monday, vowing to wipe out bandits from the state.
Vehicles, motorcycles and houses were burnt down in the attack.
During the visit, El-Rufai insisted that his administration would not succumb to granting the bandits amnesty.
He assured the villagers that military officials would be stationed in the villages to provide security.
The villagers told El-Rufai that the bandits are believed to have come from Katsina State.
It was also believed that the bandits attacked the villages following a recent raid on their hideouts by security forces.
