Leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, and his wife, Zeenat, have been moved to Abuja.
They arrived at the Abuja airport on Monday.
A source close to the IMN leader said they would be flown in a private aircraft to India for medical treatment.

Justice Darius Khobo of the State High Court had last Monday granted the defendants leave to seek medical treatment at the Medanta Hospital, India, with the Department of State Services (DDS) stating its readiness to comply with the court’s directives.
Kaduna State Government had applied to the court to make El-Zakzaky and wife and each of the other defendants produce two prominent sureties including a first-class chief or emir.
El-Zakzaky and wife are facing an eight-count charge, including culpable homicide and public disturbance in connection with the December 2015 clashes between members of the IMN and soldiers in Zaria, which left many persons dead.
They have been in detention since their arrest in 2015.
