Two years after attacking a breastfeeding mother in an adult toy shop in Abuja, Senator Elisha Abbo has been alleged to be involved in another sexual scandal.
A video leaked on social media last week showing a light-skinned man having sexual intercourse with an alleged married woman whose husband is said to be based in Abuja.
The Adamawa former legislator’s name was tagged as the man in the leaked video.
However, Abbo on August 29 held a press conference where he distanced himself from the man in the video.
He said, “How can you identify a person without seeing his face, his body, only parts of his legs and you said it is Senator Abbo.”
Abbo, who was sacked from the Senate by an Appeal Court early this year, blamed his political opponents for sponsoring what he called “timid blackmail.”
“Blackmail cannot stop me from winning elections. A senator from one of the northern states was shown in a sex video with his entire body, but he still won an election to the Senate, and his wife won an election to the House of Representatives. My people love me. No amount of blackmail can stop me,” he insisted.
Abbo threatened to take legal action against those he suspected were behind the circulation of the video and who are trying to malign and tarnish his name.
