Rapper, Falz, has attacked Senator Elisha Abbo for saying young people around the world aspiring for political office were learning from him.
The senator had made the statement on receiving the Icon of Democracy Award last week from the Intercommunity Awareness for Change and Development Initiative in Abuja.
Abbo appeared in a viral video early July assaulting a nursing mother who tried to defend an attendant, Bibra Warmate, at a sex toy shop in Abuja.
Falz, born Folarin Falana to human rights lawyer, Femi Falana, criticised the lawmaker in an Instagram post on Wednesday.
“What kind of a joke is this man ?!” Falz said alongside a video of the senator making the statement.
“‘Icon of democracy’ award? 🤦🏽♂️Shamelessness at the highest level. It’s actually disgusting. He should be holding a plaque that says ‘Biggest disgrace of the year’, the 28-year-old said.
Falz tasked the Senate and the police to move against the lawmaker, adding that “this man cannot remain in the senate!!”
Abbo had clashed with Senator Remi Tinubu on his appearance before a Senate ad-hoc committee on July 9.
He pleaded not guilty to one count of assault at Zuba Magistrate Court, Abuja.
