Businessman and philanthropist Tony Elumelu has begun holidaying in France after the Heirs Holdings’ group directors’ summit.
On Tuesday, Elumelu shared on Instagram photos of himself in Biarritz, an elegant seaside town on southwestern France’s Basque coast.
He said it was a much-needed break.
The 61-year-old chairman of Heirs Holdings is seen in the photos dressed in a white shirt, a pair of jean trousers and white crocs.
“Much needed break after the intense @heirsholdings Group Directors’ Summit,” Elumelu said.
At the summit, the directors reflected on how the firm has expanded its workforce from 10,000 when it started to over 40,000 employees across 20 African countries.
They also considered the increase of the company’s portfolio from two companies in 2010 to 17 companies today.
The directors further reflected, among others, on the firm’s portfolio valuation from N250 billion in 2010 to N11 trillion as of 2024.
