Businessman and founder of the Tony Elumelu Foundation Tony Elumelu on Saturday played host to Afrobeat sensation Rema at his Lagos home.
Mr Elumelu was dressed in a black suit as he received the Afrobeat superstar.
“You’re only just beginning and we’re here to support you,” the billionaire told Rema as they shook hands.
The ‘Calm Down’ singer presented gifts to Elumelu and thanked him for his support to young people.
Elumelu shared photos of Rema’s visit on Instagram with the caption, “Look who stopped by @heisrema!”
President of Transcorp Group Owen Omogiafo also shared pictures and videos of the visit on Instagram as she was present.
Mrs Omogiafo and Rema are both natives of Edo State.
“Where two or more Edo people are gathered, lines will drop and laughter must follow!” She wrote.
“Yes, it’s @heisrema and @owenomogiafo proudly representing the Great Benin Kingdom. Obaghatookpeere! Ise!!!”
Rema was not present at Elumelu’s all-white Christmas party last year which had numerous entertainers in attendance.
