Awele Elumelu, wife of business magnate and philanthropist Tony Elumelu, has clocked a year older.
Her husband shared a lovely video on social media to celebrate her. “Happy birthday Mrs TOE,” he captioned his Sunday post.
In the video, Mrs Elumelu is seen dressed in the local iro and buba wear complemented by a navy blue handbag and stylish shoes as she prepares to leave the house for an event.
The celebrant is the chairperson of Avon Healthcare Limited. She is also the chief executive officer of Avon Medical Services Limited and oversees the healthcare investments of Heirs Holdings. She holds a bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery degree from the University of Benin.
Her experience as a medical doctor includes medicine, surgery, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology and emergency medicine. In Nigeria, Elumelu has worked with the Lagos University Teaching Hospital and, in the UK, with Grantham and District Hospital, Grantham.
She got married to Elumelu in 1993.
