Business mogul Tony Elumelu has hosted the president of World Bank Ajay Banga and his wife Ritu Banga at Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.
Mr Banga, who is in Nigeria on a business trip, met President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa on Friday.
Mr Elumelu, on Sunday via Instagram, shared photos of himself and wife Awele playing hosts to the World Bank boss with Indian origin and his wife.
He said, “#MrsTOE and I had the pleasure of hosting Mr. Ajay Banga, the President of World Bank and his lovely wife Mrs. Ritu Banga at the iconic Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.”

In the comment section, Elumelu revealed plans to publish a memoir when an admirer with the handle investor_perry wondered how the Transcorp chairman became successful.
“Sometimes I look at your posts and be like God when! And how was the beginning of everything, was it rough or smooth,” the Instagram user said.
Elumelu responded, “@investor_perry look out for my memoir.”
On Twitter, Elumelu added, “It was great to reconnect with Ajay who I first met years ago when he served as CEO of Mastercard.
“We spoke on how the WBG can play a significant role in catalysing the private sector in Nigeria towards a green energy transition for economic growth and prosperity.”
