Oge Elumelu, daughter of billionaire Tony Elumelu, has delivered a speech at the ongoing COP28 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Ms Elumelu gave the opening speech on Monday on behalf of the African Union Youth Envoy. She also participated in a panel session themed ‘Unlocking the Power of Youth’.
Elumelu said via Instagram that he was “incredibly proud” of his daughter.

Highlighting what he drew from her speech, the chairman of Transcorp Plc and UBA wrote, “This stayed with me from her speech, ‘The youth are not only the torchbearers of the future, but the architects of the present.’ Well done Oge.”
Ms Elumelu’s aunt Agatha Elumelu-Obiekwugo wrote in the comment section, “Ah ah!!! Go Gigi Go Gigi Gooo👏👏👏😎👌🏾👍👍. Aunty is super proud of you.”
Media personality Mo Abudu also reacted to the post with the word “inspiring”.
In July, Oge graduated from the London School of Economics in the United Kingdom.
