Awele Elumelu, wife of businessman and philanthropist Tony Elumelu, has completed a 42km race at the 2023 Manchester Marathon.
Billed as the UK’s “fastest, flattest and friendliest major marathon,” the race offered prizes ranging from £750 for the male and female finishing first through to a £100 gift to those making it into 10th place.
Mr Elumelu congratulated his wife for making it to the finish line.
“Congratulations #MrsTOE for completing the 42km Manchester marathon. You inspire,” he wrote on Monday on Instagram.
Mrs Elumelu was at the marathon with one of her daughters.
Days ago, Elumelu shared photos of himself and wife together on Instagram as she prepared to jet out to the United Kingdom for the Manchester Marathon.
“Goodluck on your marathon #MrsTOE,” he wrote.
