Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, on Monday visited President Muhammadu Buhari over his reappointment as governor of the apex bank.
Buhari received and congratulated Emefiele in his office at the State House, Abuja.
The Senate last Wednesday received a letter from Mr Buhari asking the upper chambers to confirm Emefiele for a second term of five years.
Emefiele has recently been accused of money laundering. He has also denied the allegations.
Emefiele was first appointed as CBN governor by former president Goodluck Jonathan in 2014.
