Nollywood actor, Emeka Ike, will respond to the decision of a Lagos Island Customary Court which on Thursday dissolved his 14-year marriage, a source close to the artiste has informed Qed.ng
Attempts to get Emeka’s reaction to the judgment proved abortive but his close associate who does not want to be named exclusively confided in this medium that the actor was not aware of the judgment.
The source said the actor, at the appropriate time, will react comprehensively to the judgment but there were serious reasons to believe that the verdict being suddenly paraded in the media is not new.
“I think the judgment is not new because the truth is that the woman has not been living with him for a long time.
“Now, If the woman has not been living with him for that long and she is allegedly living with someone else, the question is why the sudden judgment?
“I know the actor is yet to get a copy of the judgment to even ascertain its veracity and what I will like to say is that he (Emeka Ike) will respond after a careful appraisal of the whole scenario,” he said.
Emma, a teacher, had on July 13, 2015, approached the court to dissolve the marriage between her and the I Want Your Wife star.
The mother of four alleged that her now ex-husband physically and verbally abused her all through the duration of their marriage.
