Ex-Super Eagles striker, Emmanuel Emenike, has threatened music star, Reekado Banks, over comments about his family.
The Mavin Records artiste is believed to be the originator of a false rumour which claims Emenike married wife, Iheoma Nnnadi, a former Miss Beautiful Girl in Nigeria, after divorcing her predecessor.
Nnnadi won the 2014 edition of the annual pageantry event.
After several years of courting, she eventually tied the knots with the football star in May.
But almost immediately, reports emerged about Emenike’s divorce.
Most recently, it was even claimed that the ex-West Ham forward ditched last year’s beauty queen for the most recent.
However, Emenike has warned the ‘Jeje’ singer to retract his post.
In his own post on Instagram, the 31-year-old termed the entire saga as “joke”.
“Reekado you have disrespected me and my family,” he said.
“At first it was Miss Nigeria 2013 divorced and marry 2014 and this joke is going around the world now.
“It has become 2017 to 2018. Boy I just want to tell you that I don’t bark, I give you today to delete it and mind what you post next time.”
Marital issues would be the least on Emenike’s mind at the moment as his career appears to have stalled.
The 31-year-old is currently without a club after terminating his contract with Olympiacos by mutual consent in July.
Emenike was top scorer at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations won by Nigeria.
He was capped 37 times with nine goals before abrupting quitting the Super Eagles in 2015.
