Nigeria duo, Victor Moses and Emmanuel Emenike stole the spotlight as West Ham thrashed Blackburn Rovers 5-1 in the English FA Cup on Sunday at Ewood Park.
The Premier League side secured a place in the quarter-final of the competition for the first time in five years thanks to the inspiring performance of the Nigerian pair.
Emenike, who only joined the Hammers on loan from Fenerbahce in January, scored a brace in his first start for the club.
But it was his compatriot Moses who started the rout for the East London club with his first goal since September.
Moses, on loan from Chelsea, was allowed to run unchallenged from halfway before goalkeeper Jason Steele somehow dived over the winger’s shot.
His goal drew West Ham levelled after right-back Ben Marshall scored to put the Championship side ahead.
Then it was the turn of former Spartak Moscow striker Emenike who was in line for a hat-trick but was denied by the post.
His strikes came in the 65th and 85th minutes with Frenchman Dimitri Payet also on a double.
