Horacio Sala, father of deceased Argentine footballer, Emiliano Sala, has died of a heart attack less than four months after his son passed away.
Horacio Sala, 58, passed away in his bed at home in the town of Progreso, Argentina on Friday morning.
Mr Sala’s death was today confirmed by a local politician Julio Muller, who said paramedics had rushed to his home but were unable to save him.
A plane carrying Emiliano Sala vanished over the English Channel in January.
Emiliano was on his way to joining his new club Cardiff City from French club Nantes in a club record £15m deal when the crash happened.
His body was later recovered from a wreckage of the plane on the seabed of the English Channel.
