Emir of Kano Muhammadu Sanusi II is set to turban his first son as the Ciroman of Kano.
The traditional title is considered to be for the crown prince or heir apparent.
The title affords its recipient rights to manage certain districts.
The Emir’s father Ambassador Aminu Sanusi held the title until his death in the 1990s.
The last recipient of the title was Nasiru Ado Bayero, who was made Emir of Bichi in 2020 but removed after four years on the throne.
Sanusi’s son, a deputy superintendent of police, will be honoured alongside nine others on Friday, November 25, 2024.
