Peter Okoye of P-Square has finally opted out of the group following renewed rivalry with his twin brother, Paul, and older sibling, Jude.
His decision was conveyed in a letter he sent to the group’s lawyer, Festus Keyamo, on Sunday.
Peter stated that his decision was painful but he acted with caution because the safety of his family is his priority.
“I wish Jude and Paul the best in their careers, I love them and their families but my family comes first,” he wrote.
The 35-year-old, who has launched a solo career as Mr P, alleged that Paul cancelled the group’s North American tour and other shows they were booked for without his approval.
He also accused his brother of slandering and threatening his wife and family on social media.
His words: “He has also been accusing and threatening my wife and family of unimaginable lies via social media outlets. I and my wife have been getting different threatening messages.”
Peter also accused the twins’ older brother, Jude Okoye, of threatening to shoot his wife, Lola, in the presence of Paul, and the former first lady of Cross Rivers State, Obioma Liyel-Imoke.
