Celebrity publisher Dele Momodu on Monday clashed with a former presidential aspirant Adamu Garba after the former shared a video of #EndSARS protesters singing Eedris Abdulkareem’s hit song ‘Jaga Jaga’.
Mr Momodu shared the video on Twitter on October 17.
Mr Garba who recently threatened to sue Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey for supporting the #EndSARS campaign criticised Momodu for the video.
“Nigerian can never ever be jagaga. Maybe the singer is. Nigerian leaders at all levels can be jagaga but Nigeria cannot and will never ever be Jagaga,” he wrote.
“Nigeria is a nation of promise and will rise into its greatest potential soon. Down with de-marketers of Nigeria!”
Momodu explained that the song reflected the poor state of Nigeria but Garba said he could not “fully differentiate your divisive action against Nigeria & that of @MaziNnamdiKanu.”
In response, Momodu a former presidential candidate wrote: “My dear Aburo, that’s a complete misinformation. I’ve worked for the unity of Nigeria more than the Federal Government. I’ve offered my modest palliatives to every Nigerian without discrimination; I have used my media platform to report the activities of BUHARI government daily.”
He added: “I can never carry your kind of patent prejudices. Pls, feel free to engage me. I’m a completely detribalised Nigerian who harbour no hatred whatsoever against any Nigerian whether we agree or disagree. If you’re proud at how much Nigeria has DETERIORATED, sorry, I’m NOT!”
Garba drew the ire of many Nigerians when he went after the Twitter boss for calling for an end to police brutality in Nigeria.
