Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje has reinstated his special adviser on media Salihu Yakasai who was suspended for criticising President Muhammadu Buhari’s handling of the #EndSARS movement.
“H.E Governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje OFR has approved the reinstatement of his Special Adviser on Media, Salihu Tanko Yakasai from his suspension,” a tweet by the government read on Wednesday night.
Mr Yakasai had knocked the president for not addressing Nigerians amid national outrage and protests against the Special Anti-Robbery Squad of the Nigeria Police Force.
The governor had suspended him saying he made “unguarded utterances”.
Ganduje had in April sacked the Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure Mu’azu Magaji for celebrating the death of Buhari’s chief of staff Abba Kyari.
