Almost a month after the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) made public its proposed friendly with England, the Three Lions have confirmed the encounter.
Both nations will clash on June 2 at the famed Wembley Stadium.
Nigerians appear to be happier of both countries.
A vast majority of the Brits, however, couldn’t grasp why their team will play the Super Eagles as they have dissimilar playing style with World Cup foes, Tunisia.
Here’s how both reacted on Twitter.
If you watched that England v Nigeria friendly in 1994, raise your hand. If you did not, say so. Let’s separate the two groups #ENGNGA

Maybe England don’t know this, but the footballing styles are vastly different from Tunisia to Nigeria.
Will be a good run-out, in any case.

Nigeria will play England on June 2 at the Wembley stadium before the World Cup in Russia but surely Jordan Ibe and Tammy Abraham will watch the game on TV.

England tried this shit before the last world cup and it did no favours. Costa Rica are not Panama and don’t play anything like them, the same applies to Nigeria/Tunisia. They’d be better off playing games amongst themselves. @FA

Genuine question:
Is it really an advantage to play geographically neighbouring countries in warm up games to WC?
Does Costa Rica play like Panama?
Holland like Belgium?
Nigeria like Tunisia?– England to play Nigeria and Costa Rica ahead of World Cup https://t.co/pywzHgO5PN
