Chelsea youngster, Tammy Abraham, has been overlooked by England boss, Gary Southgate, for the pre-World Cup friendlies with Italy and Netherlands.
Abraham, currently on loan at Swansea, reportedly turned down the chance to represent Nigeria in favour of the Three Lions.
He was one of three uncapped players invited for November tune-up matches with Brazil and Germany, debuting against the latter.
However, the 20-year-old has been overlooked in Southgate’s first squad since then.
Instead, uncapped quintet Nick Pope, James Tarkowski, Alfie Mawson and Lewis Cook were invited.
Defenders Chris Smalling, Gary Cahill and Michael Keane were all left out while Jack Wilshere has been recalled to the England squad as his World Cup dream gathers pace.
