Actress Eniola Ajao has drummed support for crossdresser Bobrisky amid his conviction for abuse of naira.

Bobrisky was arrested on Wednesday night in Lagos for abusing the naira notes.

According to the statement by EFCC, the controversial crossdresser was arrested for spraying and flaunting new naira notes at the premiere of Ajakaju: Beast of Two Worlds, produced by Eniola Ajao.

On Thursday, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) filed a six-count charge against the controversial crossdresser, born Idris Olanrewaju Okuneye.

While four of the charges are related to alleged naira abuse, the remaining two counts involve alleged money laundering.

Justice Abimbola Awogboro of a Federal High Court in Lagos convicted him on Friday after a review of the facts of the case.

Appealing on his behalf, Eniola in an Instagram story on Friday expressed sadness over the arrest, adding that Bobrisky who has been supportive should not be going through any issue as a result of the outcome of her movie premiere.

She wrote: “Woke up very sad. My thoughts and prayers are with Bobrisky this morning. He has been
very supportive. He should not be going through any issues as a result of the movie. Maybe should not title the sequel of Ajakajuthemovie, @ajakajumovie Ajakaju.

“The gbas-gbos since the premiere and the cinema runs started are on another level; it is another Nollywood story on its own. I pray Bobrisky (Mummy of Lagos) gets home safely.

“Please EFCC, help us. We have learned our lessons; we will do better and stop spraying money. We will only do transfers. Please show me love by going to cinemas across Nigeria; #ajakajuthemovie (Beast of Two Worlds) is still showing.”
