Actress Eniola Badmus has promoted her close friend Funke Akindele’s new film Battle on Buka Street, despite their political differences.
Directed by Funke Akindele, Battle on Buka Street is a story about two women who found themselves at loggerheads when they set up a food business on the same street causing commotion and rivalry between their families.
Eniola took fans by surprise when she shared posters for the new movie on her Instagram page on Sunday, urging her followers to watch the soon-to-be released film.
She wrote: “You guys have seen Omo ghetto and you already know that @funkejenifaakindele don’t play…#Battleonbukastreet will be out in cinemas 16th December…..nake sure you watch it do not be told…This one wey every body get Buka na which food go sweet pass like this.”
Reacting in the comment section of the post, a happy Funke thanked her friend saying, “Badosky, ose dear.”
Since her emergence as the deputy governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos, Funke Akindele and Eniola Badmus have been politically divided over their support for preferred presidential and governorship candidates.
Although Eniola Badmus congratulated Funke on her appointment, the duo has kept their distance from each other on social media, especially on posts about supporting their candidates.
