Entertainment Bus-Stop has announced it will mark the 2023 International Day of Families on May 27 (Children’s Day).
Programme convener Eki Eboigbe said in a statement on Sunday, “In commemoration of our annual ‘Family Meeting’ initiative, to mark the United Nations declaration of International Day of Families, we mark the 8th edition by celebrating another landmark declaration of the International Children’s Day, by engaging young people in interrogative discussions towards inclusion and sustainability, as it is essential for every society to create a supportive structure and environment where families’ members realize their full potential, thus creating a progressive society.”
Discussions will be held on the theme ‘Youth Building Peace’ at the Lagos Anglican Girls’ Grammar School Hall, 19, Akinhanumi Street, Surulere, Lagos State.
The event is scheduled between the hours of 12:00 noon to 2:00pm on May 27.
The statement further said, “The goal is to ignite discussion amongst students, as they are encouraged to present papers on the following germane topics: the prevalence of drug abuse amongst young people, problems and solutions; cultism amongst young people, problems and solutions; get rich quick syndrome’ amongst young people, problems and solutions; decline of morality amongst young people, problems and solutions.
“While the session will be concluded with interventions on the role of parents on young people adding values to their communities.”
