Enugu Catholic Diocese has lifted the ban placed on Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka’s Adoration Ministry after three months.
The bishop Most. Rev. Callistus Onaga had banned all priests and Catholic faithful from attending the ministry after Mbaka made several controversial comments, one of which was against the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi.
Mbaka at the time said Obi would never become president, adding that the former Anambra State governor was cursed.
According to the priest, it was better to have an old man as president than a “stingy young man”.
Mbaka came under criticism over his comments, forcing him to apologise.
However, the controversial cleric said on Thursday in a post across social media platforms that worship would begin at the adoration ground on October 2.
He wrote: “Dear Adorers, To the glory of God, Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria Amen, starts on Sunday 2nd October, 2022 with 10am Mass at the Adoration ground Umuchigbo Iji Nike Emene Enugu State.”
