Enyeama is Nigeria’s most-capped player of all-time with 101.
He has also recorded tremendous success in terms of trophies.
After three successive third-place finishes, the Lille custodian finally clinched the Africa Cup of Nations title in 2013.
An unrecognisable dispute with then coach, Sunday Oliseh, forced him to abruptly quit international football two years after.
At club level, the Nigerian has also enjoyed some measure of success.
He won the Israeli league and cup twice apiece as well as the country’s best player of the season once.
Enyeama reached great heights in France.
Since moving to Lille in 2011, the 36-year-old has featured in over 100 matches.
However, the last couple of seasons hasn’t been memorable.
Enyeama is yet to start a game since the 2016/17 season.
