Long jumper Ese Brume on Tuesday joined millions around the world in celebrating the presiding bishop of Living Faith Church International aka Winners Chapel David Oyedepo on his 68th birthday.
She described him in an Instagram post as her “spiritual backbone”, then wished him more grace from God.
“Happy birthday to my amazing Papa, my spiritual backbone. More grace for greater exploit. Love you daddy,” she wrote.
Oyedepo’s wife Faith, children, and in-laws have also celebrated him on social media.
Brume decorated Oyedepo with her bronze medal in February 2022 which she won at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Accompanied by her coach, the athlete shared the testimony of her victory before the congregation.
Oyedepo, together with his wife Faith, prayed for them just before marking the end of the church’s 21-day fasting and prayer.
Brume went on to win gold at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham with a record jump of 7.00m.
