Ese Brume came second on Sunday in women’s long jump at the 2022 ISTAF Berlin, Germany.
Brume jumped 6.78m to finish behind home favourite Malaika Mihambo who won the ISTAF event, leaping a distance of 6.92m.
The German only had one legal jump in six attempts, and it was her first jump.
The Internationales Stadionfest (ISTAF) is an annual track and field athletics meeting at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin, Germany. It was first held in July 1921.
Just days ago, Brume got her first ever victory at a Diamond League meet, winning women’s long jump with a 6.83m leap.
Brume will now be competing in her first Diamond League final this week in Zurich, Switzerland.
