Founder of the Love of Christ Generation Church, Cherubim and Seraphim, Lagos, Reverend Mother Esther Ajayi celebrated her 60th birthday on Sunday, April 2.
The clergywoman flanked by her husband was full of smiles at the thanksgiving service held in her honour at the Lagos megachurch.
Fondly called Iya Adura, Ajayi showed off dance moves to thank God for attaining the landmark age.
A love letter composed by one Kashopefoluwa Oluwayomi-Ajewole was shared on the church’s Instagram page.
It read, “Oh, our Lovely Mother, makes us never bother, a woman of Valor, Strong and Brave, A woman of inestimable Value. Happy Birthday Mother Esther.”
The composer also attached a word to every letter in Mother Esther to further celebrate the clergywoman.
Oluwayomi-Ajewole said, “M – Magnificent, O – Observant, T – Tolerant, H – Humble, E – Embracing, R – Radiant, E-Enlightened, S-Spiritual, T-Thankful, H-Hopeful in All things, E-Elegant, R-Reliable.
“A very Happy 60th Birthday to our Swaggerlicious Reverend Mother Abimbola Esther Ajayi. You, You, You and You, I am still in love with you.”
The church was beautifully decorated to reflect the celebratory mood.
Before the choir made a special presentation in honour of Ajayi, a female chorister went on her knees to thank the cleric for being a wonderful mother to all. The chorister prayed that Ajayi would live to be 150 years old.
Ajayi opened the Victoria Island, Lagos church in September 2021. It was commissioned by Pastor Enoch Adeboye. Also in attendance were former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Vice President of the Republic of Liberia, Jewel Howard-Taylor; Senator Rochas Okorocha, former Ogun State governor, Gbenga Daniel; and publisher Dele Momodu.
