Super Eagles midfielder, Oghenekharo Etebo, has returned to training three weeks after hurting his ankle at Spanish club Las Palmas.
Etebo got injured in Palmas’ 2-0 defeat to Villarreal last month and was forced to sit out key league fixtures against Real Madrid and Deportivo La Coruna.
He also sat out Nigeria’s international friendlies against Poland and Serbia in Wroclaw and London respectively due to the injury.
The 22-year-old midfielder, who has been instrumental in Las Palmas’ survival hopes, returned to first team training on Tuesday afternoon, ahead of his club’s weekend game away to Malaga.
His return will, however, be a massive boost for the team as they hope to play themselves out of the relegation zone.
Before the injury, Etebo played every minute for the club following his winter switch from Firense.
Las Palmas are 17th in the Spanish LaLiga table with 21 points from 30 games.
They face Levante, Real Sociedad, Real Betis, Alaves, Espanyol, Getafe, Eibar and Girona in their remaining fixtures this season.
