Ethiopian Airlines have announced that the black boxes recovered from its flight that crashed on Sunday after taking off from Addis Ababa, have been sent to Paris, France.
All 157 people on board the plane known as Boeing 737 MAX 8 died in the crash.
“An Ethiopian delegation led by Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) has flown the Flight Data Recorder (FDR) and Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) to Paris, France for investigation,’’ the airline tweeted on Thursday.
Investigation on the black boxes, which record happenings in an aircraft, might provide information on the possible cause of the crash after a similar incident occurred last October in Indonesia.
The United States on Wednesday grounded the entire global fleet of Boeing 737 MAX aircraft following days of pressure.
